DAY 51 - Minot

We headed out on ROute 21 (south) and then switched to go east on Route 13. We stopped in Eastend and she went to the T-Rex Centre. They discovered the bones of a t-rex there a few years back and they are on display in the Centre. We then continued on Route 13 for a bit but took Route 4 to head across the border into Montana. From the border to Malta, on Route 191 (about 50 miles) we only saw six vehicles. Saw lots of cattle and wheat fields though. We planned to stay at a campground in Glasgow but it was very open - no trees and it was very hot so we didn't stop there. She started looking for another campground but wasn't successful so switched to motels. However, it was a Saturday and lots of weddings happening. We ended up driving all the way to Minot in North Dakota and finally got a room at the Vagas Motor Inn at what we thought was 1:00am but was 2:00 am because we had come into another time zone. I had to stay in the car for the night as all the pet rooms were already let. Did get to see the sun set.
The land in Montana is like a giant mocules - lots of intersecting hills but not too high. Not sure about ND - didn't see much in the dark.
