Today did not go as planned. She took the car in for an oil change and it was not ready until 3:30 pm. Other jobs took longer than expected. The station was across from our motel so we spent most of the day there. We were outside the town itself. She read for a while and did some planning while I snoozed. We did walk around the park - lots of RV's. It was a warm sunny day so didn't do too much. She did some laundry and got to talk with other travellers while there. Great meeting place! She learned that the road to Alaska is not great and given the miles we would need to go we've decided to turn back from here. We probably should have stayed on the Alaska Highway.
After we got the car we went for a drive to the Parks Canada gold mind. It was closed but we got a few pictures. We could see workers in other locations. We stopped by the creek and I nosed around in the water but didn't find any gold. We then went to town and she picked up a couple of things. Back to the motel and get ready for bed.
