We ( my chauffeur) packed up after breakfast and we headed out at 7:15 am. Camping means early rising for us. On the way out of the Park we say two young moose, a deer and a rabbit. They were all shy and ran away before we got pictures. Oh well, maybe next time. We travelled on route 114,Route 1, route 10 and finally Route 2 to get to Fredericton. Stopped in Fredericton and went on the Trail and took a picture at the Pavilion. Also, walkedon the bridge that is part of the Trail. We then got onto Route 105 and headed north. This is a narrow winding road along the SaintJohn River. It is a pretty drive but there isn't anywhere to stop and take in the view. The speed limit is 80KM/Hr but my chauffeur says that only people who know the road would drive that speed! We went pass Mactaquac Dam. In Hartland we went across the longest covered bridge in the world, twice actually, so wecould get back on our route. We continued north through Florenceville and pass McCain's Headquarters (didn't smell anyFrench fries), Perth-Andover and Grand Falls. We got on Route 2 here and headed towards Edmonston and the provincial park where we planned to stay. However, we ran into a lighingstorm and heavy rain as we entered Edmonston so we stopped at the Quality Inn instead ofcamping for the night. Hurray, I got my very own bed.
