Visiting Jeannette Day 1

Got up, had breakfast and went for my constitutional. Saw some of the staff. The ladies who do the rooms were glad we were heading out for a bit so they could clean the room. We drove up Richmond Road. It would take several Charlottetown streets to make one this long! There were lots of sites and a few dogs to check out along the way. My chauffeur was happy to find a Tim Horton's and get a hot tea. I guess a person misses that ritual when camping. She was looking for her bank but we only found the others. We'll try again after talking to her friend. After a short walk on a green patch along the way we headed back to our room so we could work on this journal. I dictate of course! We then went out for a short walk and I saw my first frieght train. We don't have them on PEI you know.

Afterwards, my chauffeur cleaned and reorganized the car. I had a siesta. I stayed in the room while my chauffeur and her friend, Jeannette, went to supper. They met some ladies at the next table and Jeannette even shared her dessert. All thought it was just too delicious!
After supper we went to Jeannette's house. I met Mia Golden ( we were cool) and Daphne Koalie (we were not!). She is the one with a lot of black and I have a "thing" about blackdogs. So, I spent the evening on the balcony With Jeannette's son Rudy. We bonded well and I now have a new friend. Thanks, Rudy. We headed back to the motel on our own and with one minor error and u-turn we made it safely.
